Basketball at the Anglo-American School

The kids had a great season of basketball at the Anglo-American School. They played almost every Saturday from mid-December until last weekend. They both had a great experience. Ella just LOVES it!

Basketball Tournament in St. Pete

Kellan's school team was invited to play in a basketball tournament in St. Petersburg at the end of February. He had a GREAT experience and his team won every game!! They took that fast train up to St. Pete and were able to spend 2 nights there. They enjoyed playing themselves and watching the high school teams play as well.
Waiting at the train station.
Passing the time away on the train!

February Meeting with Ladies

Deana's meeting with her ladies in February went well. Of course, the topic was Valentine's Day and love. Many of you know Olga Chekalin. She led the discussion and did a great job. You can see pictures of the fun time they had making cookies and decorating them!
Nastia, Zinna, and Marianna working hard to decorate the best cookie.

Time to taste!
Luba is in love!
Zinna's cookie was my favorite.
For a fun activity, they had to draw someone's head on a balloon. It ended up quite funny!

Balloon Heads!

Praise God that each month ladies continue to come and there hasn't been a month yet when non-believer was not present. Pray for the next meeting that will be on April 14th, which is the day before Easter here in Russia. Also, the women from the NC team will participate in this meeting!

Our Russian Daughters

This is Luba! She and her sister, Nastia, call us mom and dad. We love spending time with them. Our kids love for them to babysit from time to time. We are thankful that they are a part of our church.
It is Luba's 16th birthday party with us!
We made her a yummy, American box cake with extra sweet icing and sprinkles!
I think they enjoyed it!
Luba loves Coca-Cola! So, as a fun present, we filled the bag with 16 bottles of Coke!

In our last prayer letter, I mentioned Vanya. Vanya repented just about a week ago with our pastor. Praise God! Pray for his walk with Christ as he begins this new journey!

B-1 Language Certificate

Deana had her happiest moment in Russia in January once we returned from the Canary Islands. She received the language certificate she needed after passing her exam in December. She will still continue in language, just not as many hours. The best part is - no more testing! Way to go!

Deana's Ladies Group in December

These are pictures from the ladies group that meets with Deana each month. Continue praying for the ladies who attend! They had a great time in December making a Christmas ornament and playing the "white elephant" game.
