Liberty and Friends

We had fun visiting Liberty University and seeing some friends from Moscow.  Ella was especially glad to see all of them.  We had fun touring the campus and taking them out to eat and catching up on what is happening in their lives!

Washington D.C. Trip

We had a GREAT time in Washington D.C., seeing all the sights and visiting Michael, my nephew!  Ella already wants to know when she can go back.
Of course, it started snowing the second we pulled into our parking spot as we arrived.

I wish I could make a speech from this place.  I have a few things to say!!

Bethany Baptist in Winston-Salem

We were also honored to be invited to speak at Bethany Baptist in Winston.  We were blessed by the people there and enjoyed being a part of their traditional and contemporary services.  It was also a big highlight to be able to sing with an old childhood friend.  We hadn't seen each other for many years!

Thanks, Erin, for agreeing to sing with me.
Ella visited a Sunday School class and helped share about Russia.

Crestview!

Of course, we were glad to be able to visit our church family at Crestview!  This is the church where I served for 7 or so years before coming here to Moscow.  Thanks to Crestview for your constant prayers and support.  We miss you.

Basketball

We were very thankful that Kellan was able to play basketball at our local Y during our STAS time.  We had decided that we would not sign him up because we knew that we would be gone alot and we didn't want the coach to have to deal with a player being gone so much.  However, thanks to Chris Melton for working things out for Kellan to be on his team.  Some of his teammates were former baseball/school friends.  He had a great time playing!

Christmas With Family

It was a special blessing to be able to celebrate Christmas with family!  Here are a few pictures.  There were a couple of hundred I could have posted, but I chose just a few.

Other Special Churches!

2 other VERY special churches to our family!  We appreciate their love and support and are always glad to be able to visit them and worship!  It was especially fun to be with them to celebrate Christmas.
Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church - This is my home church and the church where we were married.
They asked me to sing along in their Christmas musical.  It was SO fun for me.  I miss music horribly!
Poplar Springs Baptist Church - This is where my grandparents attended, my brother and his family attend, and some of our best friends pastor!  Lots of special friends as well.

East Gaffney Baptist Church!

We were invited to speak at East Gaffney Baptist in December as well.  They were having an ingathering to support the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.  We were blessed by the people there and were glad to be able to worship with them.
