No Front Teeth

Ella has no front teeth.  She is not a fan of pulling them out, but LOVES for the tooth fairy to come!

Moscow City

We were invited over to some friends for dinner and games and these were some pictures that we took from nearby their apartment  building.  This is the part of Moscow that we call Moscow City.  This is the new, modern skyscraper part of town.  Buildings are going up quickly and bringing a much different look to Moscow than in the past.  Many middle-aged and older Muscovites do not like the look of these buildings and they think that it is changing the view of Moscow as a whole.  Please continue to pray for this great city and pray specifically that just as we see changes and growth throughout the city in business, economics, infrastructure, modernization, that we will also see and experience growth in the spiritual aspect as well.  God is working in lives here.  May a revival of the Holy Spirit rain down on this place!

Ella Says Goodbye

This is Ella's friend, Gloria!  Ella had to say goodbye to Gloria as her family moved to Canada.  Ella will greatly miss her at school because now she will be the only girl in the class!  Pray for Gloria's family as they minister to people in Canada!

Holiday of Pies

Our church puts on another evangelistic event in September called Holiday of Pies.  Everyone in the church bakes, or buys, their favorite pies and we set up all around the grounds of the seminary.  We invite people from the region to  come and taste test and receive the recipes.  We also have people doing spiritual surveys so that we can start spiritual conversations with those who show up.  Here you will find some pictures of this year's event.
 Preparing the tables!
 Yummy Yummy Pies!!!
 Ready for the people!
Even the youth are helping out!
Deana and Lida.  Lida was the organizer of the event this year and is one of the small group leaders that I coach.
 Stuffed mouths!
 Lots of fun!
 Too hard to choose!

Kellan's First Soccer Experience

Kellan played soccer for the first time this year for his school here in Moscow.  He was awarded the Most Improved Player Award.  He enjoyed the experience and I think will want to play again in the future.  Here are a few pictures from one of his games.

Jeremy's Birthday

We celebrated my birthday with colleagues and Russian friends on September 15th.  All of these friends were non-believers and we took advantage of the opportunity to invite them over and spend some time building a closer relationship with them.  We had some good food, played some fun games, and had a great time together!  Please pray for Yana, Sergei, Julia, Marianna, and Katya.

Children's Evangelism Event

Our church in Moscow, Reconciliation Church, usually reaches out to the children in our area during the month of September.  They have returned from summer break, have gotten back into the routine of school, and are invited to an fun day of games, puppets, Bible stories, and more.  This year, Kellan and Ella participated in the event.  Kellan was even on the puppet team that gave a presentation!  Here are a few pictures from the day.
