Union Baptist Church

Our first Sunday back, we were able to speak at Union Baptist Church in Shelby.  This is the church that Deana grew up in and the church that we met in.

 Ready for Christmas!

 Listening to the choir!
Sharing about our work in Moscow.
Our 2 special ones!

Home for Christmas and STAS!

We were so thankful to be able to travel to America and be at home for Christmas.  Ella had no memories of Christmas in America with families and we especially wanted her to be able to experience that while she was still so young!  We had a wonderful time and saw so many of our family and friends.
 Home, sweet home!
Ella requested that we decorate for Christmas the first day we were there.  She got to help decorate the house and the 2 trees my parents put up.
She also had plans to quickly visit the Italian Garden so she could eat her favorite food. She misses it SO much.
 BIG bites!
Learning to shoot a bb gun.

Kellan also got in on the decorating!

Playing basketball with Grandpa and enjoying the warmer weather!

Celebrating Susanna's First Tooth - An Armenian Tradition

Many of you have been praying for Greesha and his family for a long time.  We were invited to celebrate with the family right before we left for America.  We learned that often, in Armenia, they celebrate and have a party when their child's first tooth appears.  So, we went to help celebrate Susanna's first tooth.  Here are some pictures from the evening.
 We even had cake!
 Pretty creative with food decorations!
 Lots and lots of food.
Susanna and I before the party gets started.
The guest of honor making her entrance with grandma.
Susanna and her grandmother - Susanna!  :)
Ella and the guest of honor!
 Susanna and her mom, Ani.
Our great friends - Gevorg (Greesha), Susanna, and Ani.  Please continue praying for their salvation.
Good fellowship around the table.

Russian Winter

These are some pictures of Russian winter right before we left for America on December 6th.  Now you can see why we were glad to miss the cold and snow for 3 months.  We had our share before we left and some even after we have returned.
You don't want one of these bad boys to fall on you!

One of Our Small Groups

This is a small group from our church that meets in our apartment every Thursday!  Please pray for these young ladies.  All of the ones pictured here are believers.  Pray for the leader of this group, Leyla!  (She is the one on the top left.)  Pray for new girls to join the group.  We have visitors from time to time, but none who attend regularly.  Also, pray for the group to grow in the Word, closer together, and in their commitment to living a Christian life!

November Ladies Meeting!

These are pictures from Deana's monthly meeting for ladies from our English Club and ladies from our church.  The group is designed for these 2 groups to have the opportunity to meet and build relationships.  They always have a Bible lesson, games, crafts or cooking, and fun!

English Club Thanksgiving Party

We had a Thanksgiving Party with our English Club Students.  It was a great night full of fun, food, fellowship, and learning.  The most important thing was that every person there was able to hear a clear presentation of the Gospel!  We LOVE our English Club Students and are praying that they come to know Christ.
